In December of 2016 I had a guy fell a very large dead standing fir tree on my property. Within a few hours a local dirt bag named “Life” shows up and offers to sell the wood and split the profits. Around here a cord of wood goes for $250-$300. So he takes a few loads let’s say 1 1/2 cords and sells it. I never here from him again and I figured I made a deal with a flaky guy. I don’t need the money but I always figure a deal is a deal. I would have given the wood  to him if he hadn’t offered to give me half the profits.

Tonight I look up my driveway and see this guys van and he’s standing at my door. He apologized and gave me $120.

I think I’ll donate the money to a good cause.

My guess is AA. Had a former employee (who never actually did anything shitty to me), come and apologize years after we let her go. She was in AA and part of the process was to apologize to anyone she felt she wronged.

Tree cutting is something I've thought about at times. I took care of finances and marketing for a small tree cutting business (owner, 3 employees).

The money is pretty insane . Owner was making 6 figures when he only had one helper, and now even the entry level grunts are pulling in $ 65k with a ton of room to go up.
